"Dear Family" message

Dear host family, Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I am very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Caleigh and I am 19 years old. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am currently living in Frankfurt, Germany but will be returning home in August and would like to continue Au Pairing. My optimism and determination has made moving abroad a lot easier. I plan to add value to your family by assisting with your children and daily tasks. Why I would make the perfect au pair

I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared for the large amount of responsibility it is to look after children but my patient and intuitive nature makes me a suitable person for more different situations. I am trustworthy and able to follow instructions when unsupervised. Being an only child has taught me to be independent, well organized and responsible. When it comes to child care experience, I have received a lot of experience from two Pre-Primary schools where I assisted children of between 6 months and 5 years old in the classroom and on the playground, with meal times, art activities, sensory play, baking and counting. I worked at a school camp where I assisted 13 year olds with their activities. I looked after a 6 year old girl twice a week and I helped her learn Math and English. We did fun artwork together, played many games (hide and seek is my favourite) and went on afternoon walks together. I am currently an Au Pair for a 1 year old girl in Frankfurt, Germany. I have worked there since August 2023. I enjoy spending time with her while we read books and learn, play with her toys, go for walks and play in the park near our house. I have loved watching her grow and being there for her milestones. I also assist in cooking, putting her down for nap times and light household chores. Through this time, I have found out how much I love being around children. I enjoy spending quality time with children because they are honest and willing to learn new things. They ask the most fascinating questions and I love having conversations with them and creating memories.

Hobbies and other interests

I enjoy the small things in life. I love going to the gym, listening to music, going for walks and baking. I am enthusiastic about cars and enjoy the feeling of adrenaline that Formula 1 weekends bring. Drawing and painting on rainy days makes me feel tranquil.
