"Dear Family" message
Dear Family. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Shawna H, I am currently 20 years old, turning 21 in August, living in Hatfield while studying at the University of Pretoria and am doing a Foundation Phase education degree. Ever since I was a little girl it’s always been a passion and dream of mine to be a teacher and I love being able to live my dream everyday. I am originally from Durban but live here most times out of the year. When I am home I spend my time with my parents by the pool and love to have family dinners with the whole family as I am very close with them! One of my favourite things to do is dance so you can expect a dance party after we have had dinner.
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and love to spend time with them, hence my degree of choice. I am prepared to be a big sister when I need to be but am aware of the responsibilities for taking care of them and it will not always be just play and just fun. I have a very calm and patient disposition which will help control situations before they get out of hand. I am an easygoing person however when something does not sit right with either of us I expect to talk it out rather then to ignore it. Because of this the communication and relationship will be better and stronger. Overall, working with children is my passion and is what I want to do, I want to have an impact of children’s lives, whether that be large or small and I want them and your family to feel as though I have helped you in some way.
Hobbies and other interests
Other interest and hobbies include dancing. I have been dancing since I was three and the passion has never died out in me, because once I stick to something I stay with it. I am also interested in art and love to draw and paint in my free time to relieve stress. I also get involved in outreach and love to do whatever I can to get involved in the communities to help make it better.
