Introduction to families
Dear Family, my name is Alethea D and I am currently studying a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies. I have always loved the arts, as well as sports and academics. I completed my LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) grade 5, 7 and 8 with distinctions. I have played sports throughout my life (tennis, netball and swimming being my favourites). In 2018 and 2019 I had the amazing experience of studying a month abroad, thanks to my parents, in Oxford and Los Angeles. In 2018 I studied at Oxford University in Oxford where I majored in Drama and minored in Medical Sciences. In 2019 I studied abroad at UCLA in Los Angeles where I majored in Acting and minored in Sports Medicine. both years I achieved an A for my majors and A+ for my minors. I was awarded my colours in drama and my cultural colours whilst in school. I am currently doing my silver presidents award. I have always enjoyed volunteering and helping as special needs homes such as the Forest Farm centre in Joburg where I used to volunteer until my family and I moved to the Western Cape at the end of 2016. I used to volunteer at underprivileged schools and daycares.
I love children. I have a few cousins and nieces and nephews that I have looked after and occasionally still do. I am a responsible driver and a responsible individual.
I love playing sports, crocheting, knitting, sewing, photography (Digital and 35mm) as well as drama. I thoroughly enjoy netball, swimming and tennis (I was tennis captain when I was in grade 7). I occasionally sew, knit and crochet my own clothes and items. I have made my mother, boyfriend, sister, friends and father clothing and accessories.
