I have one sibling, a brother who is 4 years my junior and I come from a small, picturesque town named Swellendam. I work for a local church as an administrator with flexible working hours, and I have over 2 years’ experience serving in both kid’s ministry and babysitting for various couples. Each couple with kids from toddler age to teenager age. Thus I have experienced various ages and personalities while babysitting and it has been such a joy to see each individual personality develop and blossom and a genuine sense of trust and security being built. Working as an au pair I step into the role as a friend, a listener, a protector, and guardian to each individual child.

Hobbies and other interests

I have a few hobbies that include reading, journaling & crocheting. I have recently started crocheting and I really want to be able to crochet a cardigan in the next few months. I absolutely love the mountains and love to hike, and trail run as often as I can. I also enjoy sunrise tidal pool dips, but ultimately the mountain is where my heart is at. I absolutely adore animals, and pet sit for quite some time looking after a wide range of dogs and cats. I have also taken an interest in plants and aim to fill my house with as many plants as possible, so far I have 1 plant and a bunch of cuttings :)
