Dear Family :) My name is Erin and I am 23 years old. I have recently graduated with a degree in fashion design in cape town and have recently moved back home to Durban as I am working on starting up my own brand, therefore I am looking for part -time work to earn some extra income while starting my business. I love children and am a big family person myself, and hopefully can assist your family where needed.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I am a fun loving and bubbly individual. I am a big family person and my younger sister is my best friend. I have always had a passion for children and elderly people. I am responsible, reliable, and independent. I have lived on my own for 4 years in cape town - I have a car and I can drive, I have a first aid course, and although I do not have previous "au-pairing" work I have babysat many times and helped friends and family out with their little ones countless times. I know how to handle children and am not scared to take charge when the occasional tantrum takes place. I can help with homework and tutoring, making food, carting and fetching, extra murals and rehearsals, sports and matches, entertaining, starting dinner etc - My job is to assist you in fulfilling the needs of your children and to make your busy schedule a little lighter for you. Hobbies and other interests

I have a few hobbies and interests, I think its so important to explore and constantly try new things - you can never stop learning. I love to sew and make my own clothes, I have a thrifting addiction, I have worked as a stylist and enjoy it as a side hobbie too, I love to paint and draw. I have recently started learning to play the guitar. I love to read and educate myself where I can, both self help and fiction. I travel when I can - done a lot of Europe. Living in cape town I spent most of my spare time at the beach or hiking. On Sundays, I go to church and try and reset for the upcoming week.

Job description

I have babysat for friends (toddler) and I have been a part time nanny for both my aunt and uncle's children in the last 2 years. I have no formal au-pair experience besides these 2 contacts and babysitting experience but I wouldn't apply for part time au-pairing work if I didn't have the skillset/responsibility or a passion for looking after children.
